George was the first born! And he is the biggest. He is sweet and relaxed-calm and confident.

  • George Washington is perhaps one of the most influential figures in American history. Victorious general of the American revolution, founding father, and the first president of the United States. He was also a avid agriculturist, owning more than 50,000 acres of land and a man who loved entertainment and the company of others. There are many accounts of his dancing late into the night at various balls, cotillions and parties.

Friedrich is full of character and often the life of the liter!

  • Friedrich Wilhelm August Heinrich Ferdinand von Steuben was a Prussian military officer who played a leading role in the American Revolutionary War by reforming the Continental Army into a disciplined and professional fighting force. Steuben took the lead in teaching soldiers the essentials of military drills, tactics, and discipline based on Prussian techniques. He wrote Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States, which remained the army's drill manual for decades, and continues to influence modern U.S. army manuals.

  • Hercules Milligan was an Irish- American tailor and spy during the revolutionary war. An unsung hero of the Revolution, he was one of America’s most important spies. By outfitting verbose British officers, appealing to their egos, and asking the right questions, Mulligan gained valuable insight into the enemy’s movements. He could oftentimes deduce the British Army’s next move by inquiring when the officers needed their uniforms back. After gaining such intelligence, Mulligan dispatched his slave, Cato, to ride out to Washington’s headquarters with the news.

Hercules is a Mama’s Boy. He is usually nestled next to mom’s face-it’s very touching. When he’s not with mom, he’s with his bestie Sybil.

Mercy is the largest female and has the smallest white mark on her chest. She is definitely a leader.

  • Known as the “Conscience of the American Revolution,” Mercy Otis Warren accomplished things unknown to women in her time. She was a prolific and influential writer and the first woman playwright. Her writings contained her beliefs, thoughts and opinions about wars and political issues and she sympathized with the call for revolution, composing political poetry.

Sybil and Hercules are besties. They are often off napping by themselves all snuggled up together and when it’s time to nurse they are both quite assertive to make sure they get their place in line! Sybil was also the first to open  her eyes.

  • 16 year old Sybil Ludington rode 40 miles on horseback (twice as far as Paul Revere) waking her father’s militaman and alerting them to the British advance. Unlike Revere she successfully avoided capture.

Patience is a tomboy. It is easy to think of her as a boy: she is by far the funniest puppy of the liter and also seems to be one of mom’s favorites.

  • Patience Wright (born Lovell; 1725 – March 23, 1786) was a sculptor of wax figures, and the first recognized American-born sculptor.[1] Wright is recorded as creating at least 55 works; only her full-length figure of Lord Chatham (William Pitt) survives

Anna was one one of the last to be born. She is sweet and likes to mosey around the most but never makes a disturbance.

  • A member of New York's upper class, Anna Strong used her Long Island farmstead to help move intelligence information to other  members of the Culper spy ring. She would arrange clothes on her clothesline as means to signal fellow Culper spy, Caleb Brewster, regarding the location of hidden documents to be transported.
